From the results of research by the author (1995, 1997, 1999, 2002) showed that most of the mathematics teacher is still implement a traditional mathematics learning, the mathematics learning with expository relying on a single method with the cycle is: explaining, giving examples, ask questions and give a test in the classical . With this method the math teachers have difficulty in: 1) serve the various needs / demands of the students in learning mathematics, 2) encouraging low achievers student to improve the intelligencial skill, 3) encourage students to learn actively, 4) use and developing mathematical tools 5) encourage students to learn by teamwork.
Development of learning method refers to the Cockroft Report recommendation (1982, 243, p. 198) which states that at every level of mathematics learning should be a vehicle for teachers to be able the selection of one or several methods by dynamic and flexible way: (1) Eskposition Method, (2) Discussion Method, (3) Exercise and Granting Duty Method, (4) Method of discovery, (5) Problem Solving Method, (6) Usage Viewer Tool
Development of mathematical learning models by action research to solve teachers difficulties to serve the student needs give positive impact, but in practice have obstacle both from technical, academic, and socio-cultural. Teachers Method in meeting the various academic needs of student, encouraging low achievers student to improve the intelligencial skill, encourage students to learn actively, and encourage students to learn through by teamwork, can be done by:
a. Developing Student Worksheet (SW)
b. Made a study groups
c. Development of class discussions / group method
d. Development of teaching aids and educational media.
In the effort to develop a model of learning can be concluded:
· Teachers are still having difficulty in meeting the various of students academic needs.
· Teachers have developed a scheme to encourage students to improve achievement of low achievers student
· Teacher has managed to create conditions so as to encourage students to learn actively; but still have difficulty in developing the scheme.
· Teacher has managed to create conditions to encourage students to learn through a teamwork; but still megalami difficulties in developing the scheme.
· Teachers have tried to develop a method of discussion, problem solving and training and administration tasks; but still have difficulty in developing the scheme.
In general, teachers have sought to develop learning methods in accordance with the purpose of action research; but teachers experiencing technical difficulties, and academic fundamentals. Technical difficulties of teachers in developing teaching methods are not available equipment or learning facility needs. Academic difficulties of teachers in developing teaching methods are not yet perceived incompatibility of the teachers in mathematical learning model with meaning of teaching model according to the referred theory.
